Our History

Funding Solutions has been partnering with clients like you since 1999. We’ve helped secure $100s of millions in franchise financing for hundreds of happy clients across 43 states.

Our goal is to assist you in finding franchise financing for your project, whatever it may be. Our staff has over 50 combined years of professional expertise in the finance industry with experience in securing financing for your first franchise unit, your multi-unit franchises, your franchise remodeling, your franchise equipment and much more!

Our Team

Jerry C. Jones, CPA

J_Jones_200x238Jerry is the founding partner of Funding Solutions. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in business and accounting, Jerry started his professional career with a national CPA firm, and has since devoted his entire career to working with companies in the growth stage. Working with manufacturing, wholesale, retail and service entities, he has assisted small- to medium-sized businesses use financial structuring to fit their objectives and achieve their growth plans and operational efficiencies. Jerry has been instrumental in developing corporate financial plans and nourishing the financial relationships required for growth for over 40 years.

Randall W. Jones

R_Jones_200x238After much arm twisting, Randy joined Funding Solutions in 2001. Randy has a personal quality enabling him to work closely with our clients to help them achieve their goals. Additionally, he has assisted in developing close working relationships with lenders integral to the Funding Solutions success story. Randy has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Kalamazoo College, and went on to Western Michigan University for a Masters in Sports Administration. Need a little break from franchising talk while you’re working with Randy? Just ask him about his kids or baseball.

Robert C. Heaton

Franchisor (Zor) and Franchisee (Zee) Administrator
RC_Heaton_200x238RC joined Funding Solutions in 2005. With his Communications degree from the University of Michigan, we hired RC to improve our loan request presentations for obtaining lender approvals, and it paid off. His efforts have helped us obtain loan approvals for better than 9 out of 10 requests, and now we’ve put him in charge of obtaining 1st unit loan approvals for several franchise brands. Like many of our staff, RC has an interest in sports, though his knowledge isn’t limited to any sport in particular as he has four athletic daughters to keep up with.

Laura Good

Franchisor (Zor) and Franchisee (Zee) Administrator
L_Good_200x238Laura has been a perfect match for the requirements of Funding Solutions and our clients since we hired her in 2012. After obtaining an Economics degree at Allegheny College, Laura went on to the University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business where she completed her MBA. We’ve come to rely on Laura’s training and skill set when performing industry research and market analysis, and depend on her to communicate those findings to potential lenders for specific projects. When not at work, Laura is out in the community with her two daughters volunteering with the arts, Girl Scouts and other various activities.

Equipment and Specialty Finance Division

Funding Solutions uses the expertise of our staff to provide financial products to a wide spectrum of industries. This includes equipment utilized in professional offices, manufacturing plants, printing processes and transportation services, just to name a few. And as with our franchising financing, our equipment financing products include a variety of programs specifically designed to best fit your cash flow needs.

  • Transactions are normally processed using only a one-page application
  • Equipment can be either new or used
  • Improvements to facilities or intangible costs such as software can be included in the financing
  • Payment programs can be specifically designed for your seasonal business activity


Mike Driscoll

Manager Equipment and Remodel Finance Division
M_Driscoll_200x238Mike has more than 25 years of experience in equipment financing and leasing, many of which came from owning his own small ticket finance company prior to joining Funding Solutions. It was here he learned the skills needed to be successful in assisting clients needing to finance equipment, vehicles and other assets required for their business. As he’s continued his career with Funding Solutions, Mike continues to initiate vital client and lender relationships. In his spare time, Mike spends as much time as possible with his three children and can most likely be found at a baseball, soccer or hockey game.

Rob Powers

Equipment Finance Specialist
R_Powers_200x238With over 30 years experience, Rob is an expert in vehicle rental, leasing and financing. His knowledge is exceptionally helpful in assisting Funding Solutions clients secure the funds required to obtain the commercial vehicle or other equipment needed for their particular business. Over his career, Rob has developed understandings of semi-tractors, trailers, construction equipment and vehicles. This expertise is crucial in communicating with vendors and lenders in order to obtain loan approvals and customer satisfaction. In his spare time and with 2 grown sons, Rob now devotes his time to cooking and recreational sports like golf.
